
Xiaomi is preparing to launch its new smartphone series, the REDMI Note 17 Series, in the Thai market, highlighting a robust 10,000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi Thailand is set to launch the new REDMI Note 17 Series smartphones on Thursday, 27 August. The series is expected to include four models: Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 4G, Xiaomi REDMI Note 17, Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 Pro, and Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 Pro Max. The key selling point is the large battery capacity, possibly up to 10,000 mAh, which may be exclusive to the Pro Max model.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max features a 10,000 mAh silicon carbon battery, which Xiaomi claims is the largest ever used in a Redmi Note smartphone. It supports 100W wired fast charging via HyperCharge and reportedly has battery certification for 1,600 charge cycles while retaining over 80 percent capacity.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max sports a 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and supports virtual memory expansion of up to 12GB, totaling 24GB.
Durability is another highlight of the device, certified to withstand drops from heights up to 3 meters. It also meets water and dust resistance standards including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, which cover protection against high-pressure water jets and hot steam.
The Xiaomi REDMI Note 17 Pro Max is expected to feature a dual-camera setup. The primary camera offers 50 megapixels with optical image stabilization (OIS) working in conjunction withan 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera.The front camera has a resolution of 32 megapixels.
The software runs on Android 16, overlaid with the HyperOS 3 user interface.
