Samsung has released the Galaxy S26 FE, the first model in the Galaxy S26 series to come with One UI 9 based on Android 17 pre-installed.
Samsung officially launched the Galaxy S26 FE as the latest and most affordable member of the Galaxy S26 family. It is the first device in the series to ship from the factory with One UI 9 based on Android 17.
The most notable change compared to the previous model is the processor. The Galaxy S26 FE now uses the Exynos 2500 chip, built on a 3-nanometer architecture, replacing the Exynos 2400 4-nanometer chip in the Galaxy S25 FE. This new chip features newer CPU cores, an AMD RDNA 3 architecture GPU with 33 percent more workgroups, and an NPU with 40 percent more hardware compute. Previously, the Exynos 2500 was only used in the Galaxy Z Flip 7.
Apart from the chipset, most hardware remains unchanged from the previous model, including a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,900 nits brightness. The battery capacity stays at 4,900mAh, supporting 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, along with an IP68 water and dust resistance rating.
The rear camera setup remains a triple system: a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. The front camera has a resolution of 12 megapixels.
Software is where Samsung places the greatest emphasis. The Galaxy S26 FE includes features debuted on flagship foldables like the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8, such as My FanCam, which automatically tracks a selected person in video clips to keep them centered in the frame, and Super Steady, which works with Horizon Lock to maintain level footage even if the device rotates 360 degrees during recording.
Photo Assist allows users to edit images using natural language commands, such as changing daylight scenes to nighttime, adding or removing objects, and undoing edits step-by-step. Nightography continues to enable low-light photography.
One UI 9 also enhances the Now Brief feature, letting users create personalized summary cards via voice commands in categories like weather, health, and video—for example, requesting a summary of protein and carbohydrate intake relative to body weight. Circle to Search with Google supports selecting multiple objects in a single image for simultaneous search.
For after-sales service, the Galaxy S26 FE will receive up to seven major operating system updates and seven years of security updates. Additionally, this is the first Galaxy S series to include a six-month trial of Google AI Pro.
The Galaxy S26 FE comes in three colors: Blueberry purple, Pistachio green, and Graphite black. However, pricing details for Thailand have not yet been announced by Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.
