The POCO F9 Ultra, the largest model in the series, offers an 8,050mAh battery—the biggest in the history of the F Series—focusing on the gaming experience with a maximum frame rate of 185 fps.
POCO, a subsidiary brand of Xiaomi, officially launched its flagship smartphones in the POCO F9 Series in the Thai market, consisting of two models: the POCO F9 Ultra and POCO F9 Pro.
Starting with the chipset, the POCO F9 Ultra features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the POCO F9 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 V Series chipset, model SM8850-1-AB, which is a slightly lower-tier chip.
A key selling point POCO highlights for this series is support for gaming frame rates up to 185 FPS via the WildBoost Engine, which POCO states is 65 frames per second higher than 120 FPS gameplay and reduces screen refresh latency by 3 milliseconds.
The display is a HyperRGB AMOLED with a maximum refresh rate of 185Hz, as noted. The POCO F9 Ultra has a 6.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2608 by 1200 pixels.
Meanwhile, the POCO F9 Pro has a 6.59-inch screen with a resolution of 2510 by 1156 pixels. Both models use Gorilla Glass 7i and feature an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display.
The camera system is a major overhaul for the series. Both models use a 200-megapixel main camera with OIS and a 32-megapixel front camera. The top-tier F9 Ultra adds a periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, supporting 10x lossless zoom and 20x AI ultra zoom.
The POCO F9 Pro uses a 50-megapixel floating telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom and a minimum focus distance of 10 centimeters. For the ultra-wide camera, the F9 Ultra uses a 50-megapixel sensor, while the lower-spec F9 Pro has an 8-megapixel sensor. Both models support Live Cinematography features, recording 4K Ultra HD video with automatic focus transitions.
Regarding battery capacity, the POCO F9 Ultra offers a substantial 8,050mAh battery, composed of 16 percent silicon-carbon. Lab tests claim the battery lasts up to two days. The POCO F9 Pro has a 6,330mAh battery and supports 100W wired HyperCharge, 50W wireless HyperCharge, and reverse charging at 27W wired and 22.5W wireless.
Finally, in terms of design, the POCO F9 Ultra is available in two colors: Dark Cherry and black, featuring a Dynamic Light on the back that changes effects for incoming calls, notifications, gaming, and music playback.
The POCO F9 Pro comes in three colors: white, black, and Aurora Green. The Aurora Green color is specially highlighted by POCO, featuring a fully luminescent back cover for the first time, which glows under sunlight or building lights.
As for pricing, the POCO F9 Ultra is available in RAM and ROM configurations of 12GB+256GB at 31,990 baht, 16GB+512GB at 34,990 baht, and 16GB+1TB at 39,990 baht.
The POCO F9 Pro is priced at 27,990 baht for the 12GB+256GB model and 29,990 baht for the 12GB+512GB model.
