At the Apple event on 9 Sep 2026 (midnight on 10 Sep 2026 Thailand time), Apple unveiled the latest smartwatches: Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. These models transcend traditional fitness watches to become personal health assistants focused fully on Longevity.
The key highlight of this upgrade is the brand-new Health Sensing System paired with the S11 chip, enabling the heart rate sensors to deliver the highest accuracy yet. It collects live heart rate data every 5 seconds throughout the day. Additionally, heart rate variability (HRV) in vitals is measured every 5 minutes. All these insights feed into the Readiness Score feature, which evaluates daily body readiness on a scale from 0 to 10 and offers real-time advice on whether to push forward or rest.
Moreover, the Health app oniPhonehas been revamped to include a Longevity tab featuring Health Age, which compares your health age with your actual age. It also offers assessments of muscle strength, balance and flexibility, on-demand VO2 max testing, and integration with Lab biomarker data for precise health insights.
Beyond health features, the S11 chip powers Audio Intelligence to simplify daily life. This includes Sound Recognition for alert detection, Live Rewind to instantly review the last 15 seconds of transcribed conversations, and Siri Recap, which intelligently summarizes discussions via Siri AI—all running on watchOS 27.
Another upgrade includes enhanced durability with Ceramic Shield 2 screen glass and a new step count dial to help users track their goals more easily.
While both Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 pack the powerful S11 chip and top-tier health features, Apple has clearly designed them to suit distinctly different lifestyles.
For those prioritizing everyday wear, the Apple Watch Series 12 offers a slim, elegant design with 42mm and 46mm case sizes, and a variety of materials from aluminum and titanium to premium ceramic. Battery life lasts up to 24 hours.
The Apple Watch Ultra 4 suits adventurers, extreme sports enthusiasts, or endurance athletes seeking maximum durability. It features a robust titanium case in Natural and Black, the most accurate GPS among sport watches, and a breakthrough battery life of up to 50 hours in normal use, extendable to 84 hours in power-saving mode. Both models support fast charging and have been officially launched.
In Thailand, the Apple Watch Series 12 GPS model starts at 14,900 THB for the 42mm size and ranges from 15,900 to 16,900 THB for the 46mm size (US launch price $399). The Apple Watch Ultra 4 starts at 29,900 THB (US launch price $799). Sales begin on 18 Sep 2026, with Apple confirming a prompt launch in Thailand. Fans in Thailand can prepare to own these soon.
