Meta has launched Muse Charm, a palm-sized AI device that can be carried in a pocket or worn as a keychain, designed to resemble a Tamagotchi. This design serves as another way for users to connect with Muse, the personal AI agent Meta recently introduced.
Mark Zuckerberg, Meta's CEO, unveiled the device during the "one more thing" highlight at the 2026 Meta Connect event, stating it will be ready for shipment during the December 2026 holiday season.
The Muse Charm device features a small screen displaying a cute digital avatar representing the Muse agent, called Jolly within Meta. Users can interact directly with the device by speaking to it.
Zuckerberg added that when users are not wearing smart glasses, Muse Charm provides the fastest way to talk with Muse and to show the agent what is happening around them.
Muse Charm evokes the feel of a Tamagotchi, the digital pet from the late 1990s: it is a lightweight device with a distinct personality, designed for users to stay constantly connected to Meta's software.
Notably, Muse Charm represents Meta's wearable AI device market experiment and provides another channel to extend Meta's AI agents to a broader audience.
