Smart glasses from Meta, in collaboration with Ray-Ban and Oakley, will be launched in Thailand for the first time, starting at 16,290 baht.
Meta and EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban and Oakley, confirmed that Meta's AI glasses in the Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta series will be available nationwide from 20 October, with support for Thai voice commands.
The Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses support voice commands activated by saying “Hey Meta,” allowing users to immediately take photos, record videos, make calls, or translate languages without needing to pick up a smartphone.
Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) is the latest model in the series. EssilorLuxottica states it offers up to 9 hours of battery life, features 6 microphones (up from 5), has a smaller camera, slimmer temples, and a customizable button on the temple that supports touch controls. The frames come in three styles: Wayfarer, Aviator, and Zena.
Meanwhile, Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2) is designed specifically as prescription glasses, offered in two styles: Blayzer Optics and Scriber Optics. They support various lenses including Transitions, polarized, blue light filtering, and prescription lenses.
Oakley Meta's two models are designed especially for outdoor activities. The HSTN is a general sunglasses style with IPX4 water resistance, while the Vanguard is a Shield-style model for running and cycling, with IP67 water and dust resistance. The Vanguard fits with cycling helmets and connects to fitness apps like Strava and Garmin for real-time workout tracking.
The Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses available in Thailand include four models: Oakley Meta HSTN starting at 16,290 baht; Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) starting at 16,690 baht; Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2) for prescription users starting at 17,490 baht; and Oakley Meta Vanguard starting at 20,390 baht. They will be sold at Ray-Ban and Oakley stores, as well as authorized dealers.
