Demand for the iPhone Duo has surged past production capacity. Customers who pre-ordered in time will receive their devices next week, but those who missed out must wait until early next year.
After Apple opened pre-orders for the iPhone Duo, its first foldable smartphone, delivery dates for many customers were pushed back beyond the new year just minutes after pre-orders began.
Thai Apple customers must also wait; all colors and models will be delivered on 22 January 2027, while the first group of customers who pre-ordered on time will receive their phones on the official release date, 23 October 2026.
The year-long wait for the iPhone Duo’s delivery is understandable given the limited product quantity and the complexity of its manufacturing process.
Before pre-orders began, multiple reports agreed that the iPhone Duo would be hard to find initially because daily production is limited to only a few hundred units, much slower than the ramp-up for regular iPhone launches.
