Samsung smartphone users can now speak with Bixby in Thai, expanding the AI assistant's language support on Galaxy smartphones.
Samsung announced it is expanding language support for its Galaxy device intelligent assistant, highlighting that Bixby now officially accepts voice commands in "Thai," along with added support for Polish and Vietnamese. This brings Bixby's total supported languages to 12 globally, with updates rolling out gradually since 14 Oct 2024 GMT+7.
This Thai language update allows Galaxy smartphone users in Thailand to converse or configure their devices using natural spoken language immediately, without memorizing command sets, as the system has been enhanced to better understand conversational context.
Regarding Galaxy AI features for translation, transcription, and content summarization (such as Call Assist, Note Assist, Interpreter, and Transcript Assist), Hungarian and Malay languages have been added, increasing total supported languages to 24. These will be available within the next few weeks. Additionally, the screen analysis feature for usage recommendations (Now Nudge) has been updated to include 8 more languages, such as Dutch, Filipino, and Swedish.
