Leaked Galaxy Z Lineup for Next Year: Samsung to Launch 6 Foldable Models Including Tri-Fold and Slide Screens to Rival iPhone Duo

A source claims that next year Samsung will release as many as six foldable phones, including the annual models Fold9 and Flip9, supplemented by the TriFold2 with a triple-fold design and a sliding screen phone.

The account owner @TheGalox_ claims based on his information that 2027 will be a year with an unusually large Galaxy Z lineup from Samsung. Each model will see important smartphone improvements such as battery, thinness, and device weight.

Next year's Galaxy Z lineup may include six models: Galaxy Z TriFold2, Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold9 Pro, Galaxy Z Fold9, Galaxy Z Flip9, and a new model called Galaxy Z Slide.

However, it seems unlikely that all six models will launch simultaneously. The triple-fold Galaxy Z TriFold2 is expected to debut shortly after the Galaxy S27 launch.

The Galaxy Z TriFold2 builds on the TriFold that Samsung released in limited quantities in some countries like South Korea and the U.S., available for only three months. Its key feature is the triple-fold design. The TriFold2 is expected to be priced similarly to the first model, which was set at $2,899 (about 98,000 baht). Samsung's quick release of the TriFold2 is likely intended to compete directly with the iPhone Duo.

In the middle of the year, it is likely to be the turn of the Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra, Fold9 Pro, Fold9, and Flip9 models, with no expected changes in their launch timeline.

The most eye-catching model in the leaked lineup is the Galaxy Z Slide, a sliding smartphone rather than a folding one.. Samsung previously showcased a prototype design with a vertically extendable screen at MWC and CES, although the prototype and the commercial product may differ significantly.

Additionally, there is a surprising new model, the Galaxy Z Fold9 Pro, added to the Fold series. It is unclear whether its design will resemble the Galaxy Z Fold8 or the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.

The foldable phone market is becoming increasingly competitive following Apple's entry. Currently, Samsung holds a 38 percent share of the foldable phone market.
