Xiaomi has confirmed that its premium smartphone series, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series, is set to be released outside China for the first time soon, although the international versions may differ from those sold in China.
Xiaomi officially confirmed via its verified X account that the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series will launch globally in November, following its initial release in China on 23 September.
However, the specifics of the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series' international rollout remain unclear, including the exact launch date and which countries will receive the models.
Notably, data from Epto, an Italian retailer, detailed Xiaomi 18 Pro Series products that differ from those sold in China. The Xiaomi 18 Pro with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at 1,398.90 euros, while the 512GB variant is priced at 1,591.90 euros.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is available in a single model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, priced at 1,783.90 euros.
Additionally, Epto reported that the specifications for the Xiaomi 18 Pro Series outside China will differ; for example, the Xiaomi 18 Pro’s battery capacity drops from 7,000 mAh (China) to 6,000 mAh internationally, with wired charging reduced to 90 watts from 100 watts.
As for the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max sold internationally, the battery capacity is 7,050 mAh, down from the 8,500 mAh version sold in China, though it still supports 100-watt charging.
The processors remain unchanged: the Xiaomi 18 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, while the Xiaomi 18 Pro Max features the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, both running on the HyperOS 4 interface.
Regarding colors, Epto states both models will be available in black, white, and Velvet Red internationally, differing from China where standard colors include black, white, pink, and blue. The red color is exclusive to the special Transparent Special Edition with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage.
This launch represents a shift in Xiaomi's strategy, as the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max were not sold outside China last year, and the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra took over five months to reach markets beyond China.
