For those planning to return home or travel during New Year 2026, the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) is fully prepared with measures to facilitate convenience and safety, adding 18 special passenger trains. These trains serve people traveling on the Northern, Northeastern (Isan), and Southern routes to ensure everyone can safely return to their families.

Outbound and return dates for special trains during New Year 2026

Northern line routes: Bangkok to Chiang Mai / Sila At

• Outbound dates: 26, 28, 30 Dec 2025 and 1, 3, 4 Jan 2026
• Return dates: 27, 29, 31 Dec 2025 and 2, 4 Jan 2026

Northeastern line routes: Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani / Udon Thani / Nakhon Ratchasima

• Outbound dates: 30, 31 Dec 2025 and 1, 3, 4 Jan 2026
• Return dates: 30, 31 Dec 2025 and 1, 3, 4 Jan 2026

Southern line route: Bangkok to Yala

• Outbound dates: 26, 28, 30 Dec 2025 and 1, 3 Jan 2026
