After Lisa's visit and check-in at the Red Lotus Sea in Udon Thani, it has become a world-class runway. Both Thai and international tourists have flocked to follow the "Amazing Thailand x LISA" trend, with visitor numbers surpassing 50,000.
The Red Lotus Sea at Bung Nong Han, Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani, has become the hottest spot right now. Since Lisa Manoban appeared as the Amazing Thailand Ambassador, the LISA Effect has ignited excitement at the lotus lake, transforming the local tourist site into a global destination that everyone wants to visit.
According to the latest statistics from 1 Dec 2025 to 25 Jan 2026, Udon Thani has truly exploded in popularity, attracting over 50,306 visitors. The peak is that usually only Thai tourists come, but this year nearly 50% are foreigners from China, Laos, Germany, and Japan who flew in to enjoy the beauty, following Lisa's trail in real time.
Highlights you must not miss. One popular activity is taking boat rides to capture photos from the same angles as Lisa. Cruising through endless red lotus fields under the soft morning sunlight offers excellent lighting and ambiance. Over the past weekend (24-25 Jan), more than 700 large boat trips operated, generating significant income for the local community.
For those interested, the final opportunity is only until mid-February because the Tourism Authority of Thailand has whispered that the peak blooming season will last only until mid-February 2026. Arriving later means waiting until next year.
The best lighting is in the morning from 06:00 to 11:00 (after which the lotus flowers start closing and the sun gets hot). You can go to the boat piers listed below; contact the pier first before traveling:
