Get ready to stroll longer through the Song Wat district as the much-anticipated festival of light and digital art returns with "Awakening Song Wat 2026." It will transform the historic street’s nights into an enchanting and inviting experience, set against the backdrop of classic beautiful buildings and a relaxed vibe by the Chao Phraya River.
This second edition returns under the profound concept “SON(G)EVITY: The Longevity of Song Wat,” inviting everyone to explore the district’s enduring existence, questioning the charm that keeps this old commercial area vibrant and passing its spirit from generation to generation. Song Wat has grown not by erasing its past but by "preserving" and "reinterpreting" it, creating an identity that harmoniously blends history with modernity.
Throughout the Song Wat and Sampeng areas, artists have expressed this concept through over 20 Lighting Installations and Digital Art works. These will be displayed across 14 locations, including highlight spots like Soi Song Wat, Charoenwattana Warehouse, and historic buildings along various alleys, inviting visitors to explore the district from fresh perspectives.
Awakening Song Wat 2026 is a collaboration between the organizers, the Made in Song Wat group, and supported by numerous leading brands. Mark your calendar for July 3-12, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Admission is free for all visitors.
