.},{ At the Good Fortune Media & Trade Luncheon in Bangkok, Hong Kong Tourism. recently launched the global "Only in Hong Kong" campaign to showcase Hong Kong's diverse charms, including culture, international festivals, and auspicious travel destinations.
HKTB stated that pilgrimage travel is a key driver keeping Hong Kong a favorite destination for Thais. To support this, they created the "Hong Kong Spiritual Calendar – Luck Boosting All Year" and a set of mobile wallpapers in collaboration with Painterbell, a renowned Thai illustrator, featuring characters John and Lulu to depict travel stories.
The calendar covers the latter half of 2026 through the end of 2027, highlighting major festivals, ideal times for blessings, and recommended temples to visit each month. It also includes auspicious mobile wallpaper designs such as the Treasury Opening Day of Guanyin Temple, Hong Ham Temple, and the God of Wealth at Wong Tai Sin Temple, allowing travelers to carry positive energy with them.
A. Katha Chinabanchorn, an expert in astrology and feng shui, said Hong Kong has excellent feng shui, surrounded by sea and mountains, full of positive energy. He recommended both popular and lesser-known sacred sites for visitors to pray properly according to tradition.
Meanwhile, Kimberly Ann Voltemas, a famous actress, shared her travel experience to Hong Kong last March. Besides temple visits for blessings, she highlighted Tai Hang as an interesting spot combining art, cafes, galleries, and temples in one area, showing Hong Kong always has something new to discover.
Beyond spiritual tourism, Hong Kong aims to reinforce its image as Asia's event capital with a year-round international events calendar for 2026-2027.
Liao Qianjia, Director of Hong Kong Tourism for Southeast Asia, explained that modern tourists seek experiences that fulfill the soul. Hong Kong meets this by blending sacred places with art and culture, making travel meaningful and rewarding.
