Netflix transforms the Chang parking lot in Song Wat by hosting “Crossing the Spirit World of the East Palace Mansion” — a free exhibition recreating the cursed royal palace from the Korean series The East Palace for fans to visit and take photos from 18 to 26 July.

Travel lovers and Korean drama fans get ready: there’s no need to fly to Korea to experience a mysterious historical atmosphere. Netflix announced a grand event welcoming this year’s supernatural period drama series.“The East Palace”They have transformed the heart of the hip Song Wat neighborhood into a spirit world for everyone to enjoy and freely take photos to check in.

The East Palace series is set to premiere globally on Netflix on 17 July, starring top actors including Nam Joo-hyuk as“Gu Cheon”— a man who crosses between the human and spirit worlds — along with Jo Seung-woo as the commanding king, and No Yoon-seo as“Saenggang”— a palace lady with special senses. Together, they must uncover and stop the deadly curse at the East Palace, the residence of the crown prince.

To boost engagement and tap into the FOMO of younger generations, the organizers recreated the series’ mysterious, enchanting atmosphere for fans to play spirit hunters and capture memorable photos at three key highlights:

  • In front of the East Palace mansion: a meticulously recreated cursed royal palace architecture with grand presence and bloodstained traces of a 30-year royal curse.
  • The palace pond: a calm water surface hiding the dark mysteries beneath the East Palace mansion.
  • The spirit realm: a desolate supernatural land cut off from reality, filled with wandering spirits.

Travel details and opening hoursEvent“Crossing the Spirit World of the East Palace Mansion in Central Bangkok” runs from 18 to 26 July 2026 at the Chang parking lot in Song Wat. Visitors can conveniently reach the venue via MRT Wat Mangkon station (Exit 1, along Plangnam Road).

Event visiting hours

  • Weekends (18-19 and 25-26 July): 10:00 to 20:00
  • Weekdays (20-24 July): 15:00 to 20:00

Attendees must strictly follow staff instructions, refrain from running or jumping on glass floors, no food, drinks, or large bags are allowed, and children under 12 must be closely supervised by guardians.
