Get ready to turn Central Chidlom into a playground for print art lovers. The 2nd Thailand Printmaking Festival, TPMF 2026, returns grandly under the theme "From Process to Perspective."
This event is a collaboration between GROUNDCONTROL, PPP Studio, and Central Chidlom department store, aiming to bring printmaking art out of specialized spaces into the city center, making it accessible for everyone to experience, experiment with, and learn up close.
The event is packed with fascinating exhibition zones, starting with the Spotlight Artist Exhibition featuring "The Red Puzzle" by artist Kitikong Tilokwattanotai, inviting visitors to arrange and create new meanings themselves.
Next is the Young Print Showcase, a platform for over 116 emerging artists nationwide selected through a rigorous process, and not to be missed is the International Print (NUA x KMITL) exhibition, a collaboration between King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang and Nagoya University of Arts in Japan.
For those who love hands-on activities, the Live Print & Talk zone offers in-depth discussions and live demonstrations of printmaking creation. The interactive Food to Printmaking Art zone invites everyone to transform vegetable scraps and everyday materials into art. Additionally, the Zine Lab provides a space for independent print lovers to create zines from concept to binding with support from four renowned studios.
Shoppers and activity seekers will enjoy the Printmaker’s Market, which gathers 16 leading print studios nationwide in one place, allowing you to meet artists and support their work. The fun continues with the Print Passport activity, where visitors explore the event and collect stamps at various points to enhance their experience.
The festival's growth this year reflects its success in making art more accessible. Organizers emphasize that they want everyone to be more than spectators—to actively participate in the creative process. The charm of the event lies in seeing people with no prior printmaking experience try it themselves and discover how approachable and enjoyable the process can be.
Anyone wishing to fully immerse themselves in the world of printmaking art can visit from now until 30 August 2026, 11:00 - 20:00, at The Event Hall, 2nd floor, Central Chidlom. Admission is free throughout the event.
