Devotees of "Thao Wessuwan" at Don Yai Temple saw a mother silently pray for her daughter's recovery and financial relief through debt clearance. After her wishes were fulfilled, she hurried to make offerings. Meanwhile, a man who passed a government exam returned to fulfill his vow and eagerly sought the lucky numbers for 16 Feb 2026, hoping for fortune.
On 3 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters noted a lively atmosphere at Don Yai Temple, Khlong 8, Lam Luk Ka Subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka District, Pathum Thani Province. From early morning, spiritual devotees and worshippers flocked to pay respects, make offerings, and ask for blessings from Thao Wessuwan, Ai Khai, and other sacred figures within the temple. Particularly, Thao Wessuwan, the deity of fortune, luck, career, and success, attracted large crowds seeking blessings. Many who had previously made vows and returned to fulfill them had found success, fueling ongoing devotion.
Ms. Aruma Yatum traveled from Uttaradit Province, bringing two bags of rice, ten packs of drinking water, and ritual offerings to present as fulfillment to Thao Wessuwan at Don Yai Temple. She had her wishes granted concerning her daughter's health and financial fortune, enabling her to clear her debts.
Ms. Aruma shared that she had previously visited Thao Wessuwan to pray for fortune and had been successful. Later, her daughter fell seriously ill with a brain disease and was admitted to the ICU. She prayed silently at home to Thao Wessuwan, asking for her daughter's improvement and discharge from the ICU, trusting firmly that Thao Wessuwan would grant her wish, as he had done before.
Following her prayers to Thao Wessuwan, her daughter's condition steadily improved, allowing her to leave the ICU as hoped. Additionally, Aruma prayed for financial luck to help clear debts, which also came true. Having achieved both wishes, she traveled back from Uttaradit to Don Yai Temple to fulfill her vow to Thao Wessuwan.
Ms. Aruma emphasized that her return was driven by deep respect and faith. After fulfilling her promises, she felt compelled to complete the vow for her own blessings. Before leaving, she lit auspicious incense and received the number 88 to take home and try her luck.
Meanwhile, Mr. Sutthas Bunsawang came from Sai Mai, bringing ten packs (240 bottles) of red soda and ritual offerings to perform a vow fulfillment ceremony for Thao Wessuwan after successfully passing his government employment exam.
Mr. Sutthas recounted that when he came to pray, he accompanied his girlfriend and waited outside at the name-signing table without entering to light incense or perform rituals like typical devotees. While waiting, he felt a sudden inspiration and silently made a vow: if he passed the exam and secured the desired job that day, he would return with red soda to fulfill the vow.
Mr. Sutthas admitted he was initially skeptical that a silent, informal prayer would work since he did not follow usual ritual practices. However, the result matched his wish exactly—he passed the exam for a position at the Department of Legal Execution, chosen from 30 candidates for a single post. Today, he returned to fulfill his vow to Thao Wessuwan and before leaving, lit incense to seek the lucky number 05 to try his fortune further.
