A woman from Bangkok was extremely fortunate to win a prize worth hundreds of thousands, clearing her debt completely. She returned to fulfill her vow to the Grand Hermit Phrommet and made sure to light incense to get lucky numbers to try again in the next lottery draw.
On 5 August 2026 at the Ruesi Nen Hermitage on West Ring Road No. 9, Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, many people, both Thai and foreign, came to pay respects to sacred objects within the hermitage. These include the world’s largest statue of Grand Hermit Phrommet, the wealthy spirit child Kumarn Thong, the nine-faced guardian deity Thao Wessuwan, the Takien tree goddess, the monkey spirit in the Jindamani cave, and the first serpent-scale hermit statue.
Many visitors brought offerings to fulfill vows, including pumpkins, red soda, rice, water, sweets, and toys. They also participated in ceremonies such as offering rice, invoking the money incantation at their wallets, presenting fruit, draping the tiger cloth on the Grand Hermit Phrommet statue in the great wealthy posture, receiving the five wealthy holy baths, and having teacher Ruesi Nen inscribe sacred Buddhist elements, the golden-faced deity Phra Lak, and anointment of the hands to open the fortune for prosperity. All items offered to fulfill vows will be donated by the hermitage to schools, temples, hospitals, and foundations for further use.
According to an interview with Ms. Natthamon Utsi, 50, a Bangkok resident who came with her family carrying 50 sacks of 5-kilogram rice and 50 packs of drinking water to offer in fulfillment of her vow to Grand Hermit Phrommet after winning over 200,000 baht, she said she had come for the holy bath at this place on 16 July and prayed to the hermit to help her pay off a debt of 150,000 baht within July or August, promising to offer 50 sacks of rice and 50 water packs. Although she did not win on 16 July, she succeeded on 1 August, winning 220,000 baht and clearing her debt completely.
Before leaving, Ms. Natthamon also offered a fruit tray and draped the tiger cloth on the Grand Hermit Phrommet statue in the great wealthy posture. She then lit incense sticks placed in the fruit tray to seek further luck, seeing the number 79 from the incense sticks to use in the next lottery draw.
