Busy Holiday as People Flock to Kuman Khong at Wat Khao Mai Daeng to Pray for Lucky Numbers

On a busy holiday, people flocked to seek luck from "Kuman Khong" at Wat Khao Mai Daeng in Chonburi Province, lighting incense to find this draw's lucky numbers for the 16 Dec 2025 lottery.

At 12:30 p.m. on 5 Dec 2025, reporters noted that at Wat Khao Mai Daeng, Bang Phra Subdistrict, Si Racha District, Chonburi, people gradually arrived to seek lucky numbers from "Kuman Khong," a statue crafted by artisan Sangmongkol. The statue, 16 inches wide, was created in 2020 by Luang Pho Sanga, the temple's abbot. It is believed to be sacred and grant blessings. Most who pay respects ask for lottery luck.

Offerings to fulfill vows typically include bottles of alcoholic drinks and various toys favored by Kuman Khong. Everyone who seeks luck reportedly receives blessings, big or small, living up to the phrase "ask and you shall receive." In the previous lottery, Wat Khao Mai Daeng children drew the number 232 on ping-pong balls, prompting many to buy lottery tickets with numbers 32 and 22, each purchasing several dozen tickets.

For this draw, senior temple children asked 9-year-old temple boy Auan to pick the ping-pong ball numbers again for lottery purchases, as it is believed that whenever Auan selects the balls, luck follows. They also lit incense to ask for lucky numbers and received 322, reflecting individual beliefs.
