After winning in the last draw, lottery enthusiasts were drawn to perform the ritual to seek "lucky numbers" from Phaya Bueng according to belief, not disappointed as they obtained attractive numbers to buy lottery tickets and try their luck for the New Year draw on 2 January 2026.
On 30 December 2025, reporters reported that groups of lottery hopefuls gathered in the forest behind a village in Moo 2, Yanri Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province, to perform a ritual requesting lucky numbers from Phaya Bueng, which had brought two straight winning numbers in the previous draw, resulting in widespread winnings.
That night, as usual, the ritual to request luck from the old Phaya Bueng holes was conducted. The ritual performers lit incense to pay respects to the local spirits, then presented five offerings to Phaya Bueng, asking for good fortune. They then dropped two sets of number papers from 0 to 9 into the Phaya Bueng holes. Shortly after, Phaya Bueng brought up five sheets of numbers divided into two sets: one with three digits, 621, and the other with two digits, 01. Photos were taken to keep a record so that the numbers from both sets could be used to buy lottery tickets for the 2 January 2026 draw.
