On 1 Jan 2026, reports indicated that on 30 Dec, lottery enthusiasts gathered to perform a ritual to request lucky numbers on the lawn of a private home in Ang Thong Province.
The hopefuls brought three sets of slips numbered 1 to 10, then dropped these slips into the hole of the Giant Termite Mound and waited to see which numbers the mound would push out to its entrance, following local belief.
