On 2 Jan 2026 GMT+7, at Ruesi Nen Shrine on Kanchanaphisek Western Ring Road No. 9, Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, a large number of people came with faith to pay respects to the sacred objects inside the shrine as it was New Year's Day.
Inside the shrine, visitors prayed to the large Ruesi Phrommet statue, the nine-faced Taweesuwan 16 meters tall, and the Glowing Scale Naga figure. Many asked for luck from Kuman Thong Chao Sua Heng and the Cave Monkey spirit of Jinda Mani. Those who succeeded as wished brought various offerings for fulfillment, including pumpkins, drinking water, and rice to Ruesi Phrommet; red drinks, snacks, and toys to Kuman Thong Chao Sua Heng. Master Ruesi Nen also performed the 'Na Phra Lak' golden-faced blessing and anointment to open the path of wealth.
Today, Master Ruesi Nen Thathaputthakun presented the 7-color, 7-day Kuman Thong Chao Sua Heng talisman and the 2025 gratitude coin to bring auspiciousness for the New Year. The shrine will donate the offerings given by visitors to schools, hospitals, and the underprivileged for further use.
Ms. Chattrarat, a car saleswoman who came with her family from Bangkok, brought toys, red drinks, and firecrackers to offer to Kuman Thong Chao Sua Heng after asking for luck and success at work, which she received as wished.
Ms. Chattrarat said she visits this shrine every year, about three to four times annually, to pray for work, money, and luck. She often wins the lottery and achieves monthly sales targets at work. This time, she lit firecrackers to offer to Chao Sua Heng and plans to use the firecracker tail numbers, 975 and 42, to try her luck in the upcoming lottery draw.
