Lucky Man on Koh Samui Wins 60 Million Baht Lottery for New Year 2026 Police Sergeant Borrows Ticket for Content Creation

Koh Samui is abuzz as a lucky man wins the first prize lottery jackpot of 60 million baht, while Police Sergeant (Patrol Unit) of Koh Samui Police Station explains he only borrowed the ticket from a fan to take photos for content creation.

On 3 January 2026, reporters reported that a Facebook user named "Pariwat Kliangkham" posted 10 first prize lottery tickets, number 837706, for the draw on 2 January 2026 on his Facebook page, with the caption: "Let the picture speak—10 tickets are enough. Just letting you know the first prize is on Koh Samui. Just the presenter. Hoping to win myself next draw; this time, I let them have it first."

After the post was shared, many people congratulated and widely shared it, with many assuming the poster himself had won. It became a sensation on Koh Samui's social media and nationwide, with nearly every page featuring photos of Pariwat Kliangkham in police uniform holding the first prize lottery tickets won in Koh Samui district.

Recently, reporters met the Facebook owner, a police officer at Koh Samui Police Station named Police Sergeant Pariwat Kliangkham, who serves as the head of the patrol unit, a patrol car driver, and a content creator who enjoys filming and photographing police work creatively. He also creates cooking content shared on social media, attracting tens of thousands of followers.

When asked, Sergeant Pariwat revealed that the photos showed a lucky winner who had purchased 10 first prize tickets and came to file a report at Koh Samui Police Station on the evening of 2 January. The winner, a young man living in Mae Nam Subdistrict, Koh Samui District, wished to remain unnamed. Sergeant Pariwat was on duty then and knew the winner personally. After the report, the winner allowed him to take photos with the tickets, as he was already one of Pariwat’s fans. He then posted the photos on social media, which led to the misunderstanding that he himself had won.

He congratulated the lucky winner of the 60 million baht first prize and joked hoping the winner might share some winnings with him. He also invited the public to follow his Facebook page "Pariwat Kliangkham" and his TikTok channel "Chef Ja Krich."

Reporters also reported that the lucky young man who won the 10-ticket first prize set worth 60 million baht, after filing the report with the duty inspector at Koh Samui Police Station, has traveled to Bangkok to claim the prize money.
