Lottery Enthusiasts Spot Luang Pho Pae Birthdate Numbers at Wat Sawang Arom, Believed to Be Auspicious for Gambling

Lottery enthusiasts are excitedly searching for the "lucky numbers" from the birthdate of "Luang Pho Pae," abbot of Wat Sawang Arom, believing these numbers to be auspicious and hoping to use them for lottery luck.


On 12 Jan 2026 GMT+7, reports stated that on the afternoon of 11 Jan at Wat Sawang Arom, Khae Thao, Khun Kaeo Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province, the famous monk "Luang Pho Pae," abbot of the temple, held a ceremony to cast the Kamphaeng Sok Buddha statue. Somdet Phra Mongkol Muni (Chao Khun Thongchai), a committee member of the Sangha Supreme Council and Central Ecclesiastical Chief, presided over the ceremony as the monastic chair. Police General Chinapat Sarasin, former Deputy National Police Chief, served as the lay chair, with renowned monks from several famous temples joining the ceremony.

Many devotees gathered at the ceremony, filling the area in front of the sermon hall where the ritual took place, exciting local residents. The famous Ruesi Nen That Buddhakun from Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province also participated in the ceremony.

Before the ceremony began, Ruesi Nen That Buddhakun performed a worship ritual. Afterward, the chair lit incense and candles. Nine monks with ecclesiastical titles chanted Buddhist prayers. Then the casting of the Kamphaeng Sok statue began, with devotees bringing gold and copper sheets. Luang Pho Pae contributed gold items such as gold necklaces and rings, which were gifts from locals lucky enough to win the lottery, to be used as part of the sacred alloy. Other sacred materials included pieces of Phra Somdej, Luang Pu Boon from Wat Klang Bang Kaeo in brass and powder form, and Luang Pu Tuad amulets from 1954, among others. Somdet Phra Mongkol Muni presided over the casting until completion, after which flowers, incense, and holy water blessed by the monks were sprinkled on the sacred objects and the devotees.

After the ceremony, Luang Pho Pae revealed that the Kamphaeng Sok statues are made for devotees to purchase for worship. They are available both as 1-forearm sized statues for altar display and as pendants for wearing as protection from various dangers. All proceeds from sales will be used to buy additional land and partly to install solar panels to provide electricity for the temple. Prices have not yet been set. The statues are produced in limited numbers to ensure they are for serious devotees. Reservations are expected to open within this month, with statue pick-up scheduled at the merit-making ceremony for nine temples' gold-leaf offerings to 99 temple boundary stones, which will be given to poor temples in nine provinces. This event will take place from 12 Feb 2026 to 8 Mar 2026. Reservations can be made at the temple.

The reporter also noted that during the casting ceremony, devotees focused on finding lucky numbers connected to Luang Pho Pae’s birthdate. According to Nok Lek Paewpong, a lottery vendor at the temple market, many people sought numbers related to the abbot’s birthday, such as 11, 501, or his age, 68. Luang Pho Pae was born on 11 Jan 1958 and recently turned 68 years old. These numbers have already been bought up at every lottery booth.
