A reporter described the atmosphere at the Millionaire Cave in Wat Nong Thong, Village 11, Ban Suan Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sukhothai. On the evening of 11 Jan 2026, villagers flocked to participate in a ceremony to ask forgiveness from the four directions and to pray at the replica Inthakhin Pagoda. The ceremony was organized by Phra Kru Palat Thanarot Panyawachiro (Phra Ajarn Moo), abbot of Wat Nong Thong, who had the pagoda built in front of the Millionaire Cave. The site was crowded, especially after villagers had won big from the holy water bowl in front of the pagoda in the last lottery draw.
After the ceremony concluded, villagers and lottery hopefuls focused intently on the wax tears in the holy water bowl, which revealed the numbers 268, 268, 208, 908, and 968. Interpretations varied depending on the viewer. Most people took photos with their mobile phones to use the “lucky numbers” for purchasing lottery tickets for the 17 Jan 2026 draw, according to their individual beliefs.
