However, every January there is a special case because the Government Lottery Office permanently changes the draw date from 16 January to 17 January between 14:30 and 16:00. This is because 16 January is Teacher's Day, and both the lottery office and the government wish to show respect and importance on this day.
Nonetheless, lottery players still have one extra day to select "lucky numbers" for the 17/1/26 draw.
