Cheers erupted when a patient at Loei Hospital won the first prize, receiving 12 million baht. The patient said they bought the lottery numbers based on their tractor's license plate, following it every draw, before becoming a millionaire.
A reporter said that after the lottery draw on 17 January 2026, with the winning number 878972, a loud cheer was heard on the 5th floor special ward of the men's building at Loei Hospital. When staff inquired, they learned the patient had won two first-prize lottery tickets worth 12 million baht, bringing great joy to their family and relatives.
Upon inquiry, it was revealed that the patient had been buying lottery numbers from their own tractor's license plate every draw and finally won the first prize, becoming a new millionaire.
