Devotees and lottery enthusiasts seek lucky numbers from renowned monk Luang Pho Saithong Techathammo during a Kathin robe offering to build a cafeteria for children, hoping for luck in the 1 Feb 2026 lottery draw, based on beliefs after his previous luck.
Reporters noted that on 29 Jan 2026, Buddhist followers and disciples of Luang Pho Saithong Techathammo gathered to make merit by offering rice, dry food, and conducting a Kathin robe ceremony to raise funds for a multipurpose building at Ban Nong Takai School in Ban Chuan Subdistrict, Bamnet Narong District, Chaiyaphum Province. The building will serve the educational needs of the children. The event was attended by Lt. Commander Tharathip Pholphinyono, district chief of Bamnet Narong, Thaworn Pornsophon, the school principal, teachers, parents, students, and devotees of Luang Pho Saithong both locally and from outside areas. The monk himself went out to receive alms.
In the morning, merit making began with offering rice and dry food, followed by a breakfast offering to Luang Pho Saithong Techathammo and five monks. After the meal, they held a Kathin robe ceremony to contribute funds for the multipurpose building at Ban Nong Takai School. The total Kathin donation amounted to 47,768 baht.
Many attendees who came to make merit also sought lucky numbers for the 1 Feb 2026 lottery. These included the number 806 seen in the candle wax tears in the holy water bowl, the auspicious incense number 40, the Kathin donation total of 47,768 baht, and the license plate of the Mercedes-Benz car Luang Pho Saithong arrived in, which was ฐก 8811 Bangkok. These numbers were noted according to personal belief, as the monk has previously brought luck.
