On 29 Jan 2026 GMT+7, a reporter stated that at the Ruesi Nen Hermitage on Kanchanawong Ring Road West No. 9, Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, a major Buddhist consecration event was held for the "Grandfather Ruesi Phrommeth" amulet, model "Grandfather Commands Wealth." These amulets were to be given to disciples attending the hermitage's annual grand teacher paying ceremony on 1 Feb 2026 GMT+7. The event was honored by the presence of Somdet Thongchai from Wat Traimit Witthayaram as chief candle lighter, alongside over 30 famous Thai monks who joined in meditation and consecration.

At 09:39 GMT+7, a ritual honoring the largest statue of Grandfather Ruesi Phrommeth in the world took place, led by Luang Por Pae from Wat Sawang Arom in Nakhon Pathom Province, renowned preacher Phra Ajarn Rachan Ariyo, teacher Ruesi Nen Thatphutthakun, and Phra Ajarn Kittikom Nametta and Phra Ajarn Kung. During the ceremony, attendees were invited to light incense, offer ritual items, and scatter "star of wealth" flowers to pay respect to Grandfather Ruesi Phrommeth. Luang Por Pae also sprinkled holy water on participants to bestow blessings.

Later, at 13:39 GMT+7, Somdet Thongchai arrived to preside over the candle lighting ceremony, kindly sitting in meditation and anointing the "Grandfather Ruesi Phrommeth" amulets of the "Grandfather Commands Wealth" model for good fortune. Over a thousand people attended, and more than 30 renowned monks participated in the consecration and meditation.

Before leaving, attendees observed "lucky numbers" from the holy water basin at Boonchuay Pavilion to use for lottery betting. The numbers visible in the basin were 0, 1, 2, 3, 8, and 9.
