Devotees Celebrate Winning Lottery Numbers from Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes Firecracker Tail at Annual Teacher Worship Ceremony

Devotees all rejoiced after receiving luck from the "firecracker tail numbers" offered to "Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes" at the teacher worship ceremony held by the Ruesi Nen Hermitage, winning two- and three-digit lottery prizes totaling more than 30 tickets.

On 1 February 2026 at the Ruesi Nen Hermitage, That Phutthakun, located on Western Ring Road No. 9, Pathum Thani - Bang Pa-in, Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, a head-covering ceremony for Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes was held as part of the annual teacher worship event for 2026.

Ruesi Nen That Phutthakun officiated the ceremony, attended by over 1,000 disciples. In the morning, a ritual was performed to honor the world's largest statue of Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes, along with inviting the supreme teachers, deities, and gods from all directions to join in celebrating Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes' presence. This was to bestow blessings and empower the disciples attending the ceremony. In the afternoon, the head-covering ceremony for the elder or Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes took place, followed by a merit-bridge walk.

The Ruesi Nen Hermitage's annual teacher worship ceremony is held once a year in February, allowing disciples to receive the head-covering blessing from Grandfather Ruesi to enhance luck, career, finances, and fortune. This is intended to bring success and prosperity to all disciples, regardless of their teachers, professions, or fields of study.

The event began at 09:09 with a ritual honoring Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes' statue, accompanied by traditional dance offerings. Luang Por Pae from Wat Sawang Arom and Master Rachan Ariyo conducted the ceremony. After the ritual, disciples received teacher's bowls, head-covering talismans, and sacred cords to wear during the subsequent fate-altering ceremony.

In the afternoon at 14:09, a traditional merit-bridge walk ceremony was held before the head-covering ritual for all attending disciples. Many participants exhibited signs such as crying, trembling, or other behaviors resembling trance states during the ceremony. Afterward, all attendees were given commemorative coins of Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes, the 'Grandfather Orders Prosperity' edition.

According to reporters, many lucky disciples who attended the ceremony received good fortune from the firecracker tail numbers ignited as offerings to Grandfather Ruesi Phrommes in the morning. These included winning two-digit prizes with the number 48 and three-digit prizes with the numbers 408 and 041.

Notable winners included disciples from Pathum Thani who won 10 two-digit prize tickets totaling 20,000 baht; a disciple from Pattani who won a two-digit prize worth 4,000 baht; and the ceremony's master of ceremonies who won 12 two-digit prize tickets totaling 24,000 baht. Additionally, one fortunate individual won four three-digit tickets ending in 041 and two three-digit tickets ending in 408, receiving a total prize of 24,000 baht.
