Locals flocked to pray to Luang Pho Sriprai at Wat Inthararam (Hub Rak) in Nakhon Pathom, whose body remains incorrupt. They prayed before shaking the fortune sticks and smiled upon receiving lucky numbers that resonated with them to try their luck in the upcoming draw.
On 7 February 2026, it was reported that on the afternoon of 6 February at Wat Inthararam (Hub Rak), Phong Maduea Subdistrict, Mueang Nakhon Pathom District, locals gathered to pay respects to Luang Pho Phra Kru Sriprai Ketkaew, the former abbot who was both a development monk and a revered teacher. He passed away over 20 years ago, but is believed to grant blessings and luck to those who come to pray. His incorrupt body is enshrined in a beautifully carved Thai-style wooden coffin, with his portrait placed in front. The coffin is housed inside the Luang Pho Sriprai shrine within the temple, open daily for visitors to worship and seek auspicious blessings.
Reporters visited Wat Inthararam (Hub Rak) and found many villagers gathered to light incense and pay respects to Luang Pho Sriprai's body enshrined in the coffin. Most attendees were people who had recently won lotteries, engaged in land transactions, or came to pray for career promotions or university admission success, totaling nearly 100 people.
Among them was Police Colonel Preecha Timhom, former superintendent of Bang Len Police Station in Nakhon Pathom, who expressed that Luang Pho Sriprai is highly respected by locals. Most come to pray for luck and receive the blessings they hope for. He shared that he has prayed to the monk since beginning his civil service career, achieving success each time he was promoted. Even after the monk's passing, he continues to come to pay respects and seek blessings.
Besides being a development monk who improved the community and temple, Luang Pho Sriprai was a famous teacher, especially known for his protective powers and safety charms. The 'Hanuman carrying a flag' amulet is his distinctive emblem, cherished by people in Hub Rak for protection. On this day, villagers who received luck gathered not only to pray but also to discuss the upcoming ceremony for consecrating and gilding the boundary stones of the new ordination hall from 14-23 February 2026. The current abbot, Phra Kru Sutham Sophit, completed the new ordination hall to replace the old one. According to ancient beliefs, this ceremony is essential, and participating in it is considered a highly meritorious act, bringing success in three aspects: worldly possessions, heavenly blessings, and nirvana. This reflects traditional Thai beliefs.
Mr. Sangat Sombunwong, 74, a farmer and devoted disciple of Luang Pho Sriprai Ketkaew, famous at Wat Inthararam (Hub Rak), shared that he has long worshipped and sought blessings at this temple since he lives nearby. Today, he prayed for luck by shaking the fortune sticks and drew numbers 14 and 22, his favorite numbers. He found it unbelievable that these numbers correspond to the dates of the temple's ordination hall gilding ceremony scheduled for 14-22 February 2026.
After drawing the fortune sticks, he went to a lottery stall to pick lottery tickets with the lucky numbers 14 and 22 to try his luck. He considers these his lucky numbers and said that if he wins a major prize, he will return to make a grand vow offering in front of Luang Pho Sriprai.
