Lottery enthusiasts are focusing on the "lucky number" from the license plate of a refrigerated pickup truck belonging to a generous major pig farm owner who donated 5 tons of pork parts to Luang Pho Pae at Wat Sawang Arom in Nakhon Pathom Province, believing it to be an auspicious number for the 1 Mar 2026 lottery draw.
On 28 Feb 2026, reports stated that around noon on 27 Feb, at Wat Sawang Arom in Khaek Thao, Khun Kaeo Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province, the temple held a gold leaf covering ceremony for 9 temples involving 99 sacred balls given to impoverished temples in 9 remote provinces. The event, which started on 12 Feb and runs until 8 Mar 2026, drew continuous crowds of devotees coming to cover the gold leaf and pay respects to the sacred objects.
This gold leaf covering event marks its 11th year, with 99 sacred balls already distributed to temples. However, over 50 more temples remain on the waiting list requesting the ceremony. Luang Pho Pae will send a committee to inspect and select temples for the following year.
Meanwhile, in the morning, a husband and wife who are major pig farm entrepreneurs and owners of Thangka Pork OK Co., Ltd., located in Bo Phlab Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom, and disciples of Luang Pho Pae, brought over 5 tons of pork meat, pork parts, and offal packed in 5-kilogram bags. They loaded two fully refrigerated vans and donated them to Luang Pho Pae for distribution to devotees attending the gold leaf covering ceremony. The temple announced via loudspeaker for everyone to come receive pork at the main pavilion, where the bags were neatly arranged in front of the statues of Luang Pho Phra Ngern Phra Thong.
According to reporters, after the announcement calling devotees to receive pork, within just 30 minutes, over 500 people had gathered at the ceremony area to wait for their share. Once the husband and wife along with relatives completed the incense offering ceremony to mark the donation's completion, Luang Pho Pae invited the crowd to line up orderly. He personally handed out the pork while temple staff managed the distribution to prevent duplicate receiving. The distribution continued until all pork was given away. What drew particular interest from the public and lottery players was the refrigerated pickup truck license plate Phak-4546 Nakhon Pathom that carried the pork. Many believed this truck brought luck by delivering goods to the community, and they planned to use the plate number for lottery betting as it was the last day before the 1 Mar 2026 lottery draw.
