A man carried 1 ton of pumpkins to fulfill a vow to "Grandfather Ruesi Phrommet" after regaining his ability to walk. He lit auspicious incense and received lucky numbers for the 16/3/26 lottery draw.
On 12 Mar 2026 GMT+7, a reporter described the atmosphere at Ruesi Nen's Hermitage, Phutthakhun Road, West Ring Road No. 9, Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. Both Thai and foreign visitors brought their families to pay respects to the 16-meter tall, nine-faced Thao Wessuwan statue; the world's largest Grandfather Ruesi Phrommet statue; the Kuman Thong Chao Sua Heng; the Takian Mother Goddess; Lord Ganesha; Grandfather Ruesi Kletkaew; the Giant City; and to visit the Jindamanee Cave featuring Jao Ngo and the Naga serpent. Visitors came to honor various sacred objects within the hermitage to seek luck and blessings. They also received blessings from Ruesi Nen, including the Nara Laksana Golden Face mantra, had their palms anointed to open wealth fortunes, participated in rice offering ceremonies to the elder father spirit, and received holy water from the black conch shell.
Mr. Suweekit Kaewsriwongsa, 47, from Ang Thong Province, arrived with his family bringing 1 ton (1,000 kilograms) of pumpkins to fulfill a vow after regaining his ability to walk following a previous accident that had left him unable to walk.
Mr. Suweekit revealed that after his accident he was unable to walk and prayed to Grandfather Ruesi Phrommet at this hermitage to regain mobility. Now that he can walk again, he brought 1,000 kilograms of pumpkins to offer in thanks and fulfill his vow. Before leaving, he also observed the incense smoke in front of Grandfather Ruesi Phrommet's statue and received the lucky number 661, which he plans to use for lottery betting in the 16 Mar 2026 draw.
