On 12 March 2026 at Wat Khu Mueang, or Wat Nong Sakae, Nong Phai Subdistrict, Nong Khayang District, Uthai Thani Province, the annual Teacher Respect Ceremony was held. Buddhists and disciples of Luang Pho Sot Wachasit, former abbot of Wat Khu Mueang (Nong Sakae), and Phra Kru Uthit Kittisarn, known as Luang Pho Piak Wachasit, the current abbot and a renowned monk, gathered in large numbers to participate in the ceremony. The event honored teachers of all fields and sought blessings for themselves, their families, and their businesses.
With the government lottery draw scheduled in four days on 16 March 2026, disciples and attendees did not miss the chance to seek lucky numbers to buy lottery tickets from vendors who came to the temple to sell them.
