On 12 March 2026 at Wat Ku Mueang, also known as Wat Nong Sakae, in Nong Phai Subdistrict, Nong Khayang District, Uthai Thani Province, the annual Teacher Worship ceremony for 2026 was held. Buddhists and disciples of Luang Pho Sot Wajasit, former abbot of Wat Ku Mueang (Nong Sakae), and Phra Kru Uthit Kittisan, or Luang Pho Piak Wajasit, the current abbot and renowned monk, gathered in large numbers to participate in the ceremony. The event honored teachers from all disciplines and was held to bring auspiciousness to themselves, their families, and their businesses.
With only four days remaining until the government lottery draw on 16 March 2026, disciples and attendees were eager to find lucky numbers to try their luck by purchasing lottery tickets from vendors who came to sell directly at the temple.
A representative went up to take photosof the holy water bowlduring the Teacher Worship ceremony inside the vihara of Luang Pho Sot Wajasit to see which numbers appeared this year. The photos were then shared among attendees. One of the most popular lucky numbers people sought to buy was 68, the date of the Teacher Worship ceremony, along with the number 068 seen in the holy water bowl.The holy water bowl.Meanwhile, the incense stick numbers were 147, the Teacher Worship date this year was the 12th, and Luang Pho Piak’s age was 65. These numbers contributed to lottery tickets selling very well, quickly selling out at the stalls.
