When the incense sticks revealed the number 159, many photographed it to buy lottery tickets for the draw on 16 Mar 2026 GMT+7, following their belief.
The 'Golden Pillow Goddess' is believed by locals to be the protective deity of Bueng Boraphet. They hold that she guards the lake and all its crocodiles, preventing them from surfacing to protect their eggs and themselves from hunters. The crocodiles are said to hide, waiting for the right moment to emerge and display their power.
