Lottery enthusiasts traveled to pay respects to the "Golden Pillow Goddess" at Bueng Boraphet in Nakhon Sawan Province, making sure to light incense sticks to divine the "lucky numbers for this draw."
On 15 Mar 2026, reports stated that on the morning of 14 Mar 2026, at the Golden Pillow Goddess shrine located behind the fisheries official residence in Nakhon Sawan within Bueng Boraphet, local residents and devotees came to pay homage and seek luck from the "Golden Pillow Goddess."
Locals brought offerings such as betel leaves, floral garlands, red soda, and water to present to the Golden Pillow Goddess. They prayed for luck by lighting incense sticks to divine numbers. While waiting, they enjoyed the surrounding scenery and saw crocodiles, considered the goddess’s attendants, surface. When the incense smoke revealed the numbers 159, many took photos to remember them and planned to buy lottery tickets for the draw on 16 Mar 2026, following their belief.
The "Golden Pillow Goddess" is believed by locals to be the deity protecting Bueng Boraphet. The community holds that she guards the lake and all its crocodiles, preventing them from surfacing to avoid having their eggs and bodies hunted and sold. The crocodiles themselves hide, waiting for the day to rise again and display their grandeur.
