A new millionaire from Korat won 12 million baht. The 50-year-old man bought lottery tickets after attending a relative's funeral in Kamphaeng Phet Province. Police at Lan Krabue Police Station joined in congratulating him.

On 17 Mar 2026 GMT+7 in Kamphaeng Phet Province, reporters reported that Mr. Somkhwan (surname withheld), 50, from Bua Yai District, Nakhon Ratchasima, came to meet Police Lieutenant Thanakrit Pisorn, deputy investigator at Lan Krabue Police Station, to file an official report. He had just become a lucky winner of two first prize government lottery tickets for the draw on 16 Mar 2026 GMT+7, with the number 833009, receiving a total prize of 12 million baht.




He also won two tickets with the last two digits 64, causing great excitement among those at the police station.

He revealed the source of his good fortune, explaining that he traveled from Nakhon Ratchasima to attend a relative's funeral in Lan Krabue District. There, he decided to buy lottery tickets from vendors walking around the funeral area. When the results were announced, he found out he had won the first prize, netting millions.




Police Colonel Cherdchai Muangsinh, chief of Lan Krabue Police Station, along with officers at the station, joined in congratulating the winner.
