Pilgrims Stirred by Cleaning of Unclaimed Bones as Large Python Appears on Tent Roof

Pilgrims excitedly gathered to help cleanthe bonesof unclaimed bodies at the Tri Khun Tham Foundation Cemetery in Chonburi. Looking up at the tent roof, they saw a large "python" coiled around the metal frame and quicklyranto buy lottery tickets with the "lucky numbers" for 1 April 2026, believing it would bring them luck.

On 21 March 2026, at the Tri Khun Tham Foundation Cemetery (Sam Tek Tai), No. 26/1, Moo 2, Nong Ree Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chonburi Province, many local pilgrims and Tri Khun Tham rescue workers helped dig up unclaimed graves for cleaning to perform religious rites. They planned to cremate the bones to send the spirits to a peaceful afterlife.

However, the villagers were stunned and shocked when they looked up at the metal roofof the tent.They found a large "python" coiled exactly over the skeleton at unclaimed grave No. 8/145.

Later, rescue workers skilled in snake handling used metal tools to catch the python. It was a female, over 2 meters long and weighing about 30 kilograms. They then placed it in a sack and released it back into the wild. Many people hurried to the lottery vendorsto buy lottery ticketswith numbers related to the grave.

Mr. Choti Jarungphatnanont, 45, who saw the snake, said he was cleaning bones taken from an unclaimed grave when he looked up and saw the python above, right over the male skeleton at No. 8/145. He believed it was a sign of good luck and planned to use those numbers to buy tickets for the 1 April draw. If he wins, he intends to donate the money to honor the spirits of unclaimed bodies.
