Startled Woman Encounters Cobra Hatchling Wrapped Around Her Hand While Riding Motorcycle to Work

A 29-year-old woman riding a motorcycle to work was startled when a baby cobra slithered onto her hand. She regained her composure, shook off the snake, stopped her bike, and sought assistance. Lottery enthusiasts eagerly noted the motorcycle’s license plate for lucky numbers.

At 06:00 on 25 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Bang Pakong Police Station received a report of a cobra entering a motorcycle. The owner had stopped to ask for help on Theparat Road (Bangna-Trad) at kilometer 38 on the inbound side toward Bangkok, in Moo 5, Bang Samak Subdistrict, Bang Pakong District, Chachoengsao Province. The police coordinated with Chachoengsao rescue units.

At the scene, a red Honda MSX motorcycle was found parked, with its owner, Ms. Sunisa Thanawattanthitikun, age 29, standing nearby waiting.

Officials reviewed footage Ms. Sunisa had recorded, showing a baby cobra slithering out from the motorcycle’s headlight and then back inside. Rescue workers dismantled the motorcycle and opened the seat, discovering a 30 cm baby cobra coiled near the battery. When they tried to catch it, the snake slipped away, forcing them to disassemble most of the bike until they found the snake hiding beneath the fuel tank cover. They removed bolts and managed to capture the baby cobra.

Ms. Sunisa revealed that while riding to work, a baby snake slithered onto her hand, startling her. She did not realize it was a cobra hatchling at first but regained her composure, shook her hand to remove the snake, and stopped the bike to ask for help. Fortunately, the snake did not bite her.

Meanwhile, numerology enthusiasts examined the motorcycle’s license plate number, 4กส 9541, hoping to use the “lucky numbers” for the lottery draw on 1 Apr 2026.
