As the lottery drawing day neared, lottery enthusiasts walked into the forest, braving the darkness to seek fortune-telling numbers from the “Queen Ant” mother with young offspring. After waiting for two hours, they received “lucky numbers” to try their luck in the April 1, 2026 lottery draw.
On 31 Mar 2026 GMT+7, it was reported that on the evening of 29 Mar, fortune seekers ventured into the dark forest at the edge of a village in the Ryi area, Kabin Buri District, Prachinburi Province. They brought traditional offerings including a bai sri arrangement, five ceremonial trays, flowers, incense, and candles to perform a ritual seeking luck from the ant queen spirit.
After locating the correct ant hole, facing east as prescribed by tradition, they found it was special—the hole belonged to the rare Queen Ant mother with young. They then lit incense and candles to pay respects to the local spirits.
Next, they dropped two sets of paper scrolls with numbers 0–9 into the Queen Ant’s hole. After waiting nearly two hours, the young ant emerged first, followed by the Queen Ant. She pushed up two paper scrolls and placed them at the hole’s entrance.
Then she led her offspring back into the hole without further movement. Believing the Queen Ant was only giving two numbers today, they opened the scrolls to reveal the numbers 7 and 4. The fortune seekers were pleased and used their phones to photograph the numbers to use for the lottery draw on 1 Apr 2026.
