A sales employee happily surpassed her sales target and offered nine pig heads to Luang Pho Somwang in fulfillment of a vow, while also requesting auspicious numbers from holy incense to try her luck on 16 Apr 2026.
On 6 Apr 2026 GMT+7, a reporter described the atmosphere inside Wat Klang Bang Phra (Luang Pho Somwang) in Bang Phra Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province. On the morning of the previous day, fewer devotees came to pay respects and pray to Luang Pho Somwang, likely due to rising fuel prices increasing travel costs, resulting in fewer visitors. However, some devotees who had received blessings and good fortune from their prayers still came to fulfill their vows, believing Luang Pho Somwang grants success as promised.
Similarly, Ms. Ananya Mee Rang, 40, from Krathum Baen, Samut Sakhon Province, one of the successful devotees, brought nine pig heads, 19 garlands, and 12 dozen bottles of drinking water to fulfill her vow. Upon arrival, she informed the temple staff and arranged the pig heads and flowers on trays at the front courtyard of Luang Pho Somwang's statue.
She then paid respects to Luang Pho Somwang, a sacred Buddha statue in the Maravijaya posture or 'Scaring Away Mara' posture, standing over 30 meters tall. Ms. Ananya revealed she came to fulfill her vow today because she had prayed and made a promise. She works as an industrial product sales employee dealing with motors and water pumps. Each year, the company sets sales targets, but last year's sales dropped significantly. She feared losing her job and was unsure what to do until a friend suggested seeking blessings from Luang Pho Somwang for improvement.
She went to pay respects and prayed to Luang Pho Somwang, promising that if she succeeded,if sales improved,and her job advanced, she would offer gifts to fulfill her vow. After five to six months, sales surprisingly improved drastically. She could sell everything she tried and now comes to fulfill her vow. She also believes that since Luang Pho granted her success, he might grant her luck, so she requested auspicious numbers to try her luck in the upcoming lottery draw.
She lit incense for divination and waited until it burned out, revealing the number 348. She vowed to return and offer more pig heads if she wins.
