A famous bone-setting doctor brought offerings to "Phra Ngern Phra Thong" at Wat Sawang Arom in Nakhon Pathom before praying for "lucky numbers" to try his luck.
On 12 Apr 2026 GMT+7, reports said that on the morning of 11 Apr at Wat Sawang Arom, Khaekhaew Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom, marking the start of the Songkran festival or Thai New Year, many devotees began arriving to pay respects and pray for blessings.
At the same time, Ajarn Nonthawat Chai Mavachnuthur, 62, a famous bone-setting doctor with several branches in Bangkok and Phuket, came with his family—his mother, wife, and children—bringing 100 bags of rice, 50 packs of drinking water, and 50 packs of red syrup as offerings. “Luang Pho Pae” and “Phra Ngern Phra Thong” These were placed in front of the replica statue of Luang Pho Phra Ngern Phra Thong at the entrance to the sermon hall before proceeding to pay respects to the original statue inside the hall, lighting incense and candles, offering flowers, and explaining the purpose of the offerings.
Ajarn Nonthawat Chai said that Luang Pho Pae is like a spiritual teacher; he has visited him many times and received moral guidance that, when practiced, brings success as promised. He brings offerings every year because Luang Pho Pae has a kind heart, cooking meals for the poor and distributing aid to hospitals. He was told to offer to Phra Ngern Phra Thong for success and to pray for whatever one wishes, as blessings will be granted. So, he brought offerings to Phra Ngern Phra Thong accordingly.
Since he was there, he took the opportunity to ask for luck before drawing three eggs from a basket, praying for business prosperity and wealth as the name “Luang Pho Ruay” (Luang Pho Wealthy) implies.
He drew three eggs and revealed the numbers 246, showing them before paying respects again to Luang Pho Pae. Luang Pho Pae then gave him sacred items and a protective cloth amulet to safeguard him and bring success in business before he departed.
