Mother Gives Birth to Daughter in Car Lottery Enthusiasts Eye Vehicle’s Lucky Number

Unable to hold back, a 28-year-old mother gave birth to a daughter inside a sedan. Rescue teams arrived to assist, ensuring both mother and child were safe, while lottery fans did not forget to check the "lucky number" on the car’s license plate to try their luck on 2 May 2026.

At 01:00 on 28 Apr 2026 GMT+7, the Ban Bueng Moral Rescue Radio Center received an emergency call reporting a woman in labor giving birth inside a car. The incident occurred near the Nong Chak traffic light on Highway 344, close to the Nong Chak police post, heading into Ban Bueng Subdistrict, Moo 3, Nong Chak, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi Province.

Upon receiving the call, nearby rescue volunteers were promptly dispatched along with emergency medical teams from Ban Bueng Hospital. Upon arrival, they found a white sedan with license plate กต 9939 Lamphun parked in the lot near the Nong Chak police post. On the rear seat lay a woman flat against the seat with a newborn still attached to the umbilical cord. The team quickly provided first aid, cutting the cord, cleaning the baby, and wrapping the child in a clean soft towel.

A nurse who assisted with the delivery briefly stated, "The baby is a healthy girl, crying loudly with strong lungs. We must rush both mother and child to the hospital for further care."

Mr. Supol Songkul, 30, said his wife, Ms. Sirilak Khairam, 28, had been experiencing labor pains since the previous day. He had taken her to Ban Bueng Hospital, but she had not delivered yet, so they returned to their lodging. When labor pains resumed, he asked a neighbor to drive his pregnant wife to the hospital from their home in Ban Tan Dam, Moo 5, Nong Irun Subdistrict, Ban Bueng District, Chonburi.

Halfway there, his wife’s labor pains intensified and she gave birth in the car. He instructed the driver to find a place to park and call for help. He said he felt excited and relieved that both wife and daughter were safe. This is their second child, and he is still so overwhelmed that he hasn’t chosen a name yet.

Meanwhile, lottery enthusiasts eagerly examined the "lucky number" of the car’s license plate to try their luck in the upcoming 2 May 2026 lottery draw.
