This draw brought great fortune to "a lottery vendor and a sandstone sculptor," two new millionaires from Korat who each won 6 million baht with the first prize lottery. They revealed their luck came from leftover tickets at a stall and a lottery seller who came around selling at their doorstep.
A reporter reported that after the government lottery drawing on 2 May 2026, it was announced that in Nakhon Ratchasima province, two new lucky millionaires emerged. The first is Mr. Prasit Wannapinpong, 67, owner of a lottery stall at the Suang Noen morning market, Suang Noen Subdistrict, Suang Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima, who showed a winning first prize lottery ticket number 536077, worth 6 million baht, amid congratulations from fellow market vendors.
Mr. Prasit Wannapinpong, 67, the winner, revealed that he has been a lottery vendor at the Suang Noen morning market stall for over 30 years. Normally, some tickets remain unsold each draw, which he keeps, but in the past, those leftover tickets never won. This time, he did not expect to win the first prize, so he was very happy. He said the prize money would be used to expand his business and saved as capital for future ventures.
The second lucky winner is Mr. Saithong Prakaothan, 59, a resident of Ban Sap Sombun, Village 14, Lat Buakhao Subdistrict, Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima. He went to file an official report at Sikhio Police Station after buying one lottery ticket and winning the first prize number 536077, worth 6 million baht.
Mr. Saithong recounted that a lottery seller came to him in the morning, but he did not buy any tickets as he was busy sculpting sandstone at home. In the afternoon, the same seller returned, asking him to buy as there were only three tickets left in the stall. He decided to buy one ticket. Watching the lottery draw on TV, when the number 536077 appeared, he was very happy and told his younger sibling, who was skeptical. Upon checking the ticket, they confirmed it was the first prize. He plans to use the money for charity and save it for his children and grandchildren.
