Lottery Enthusiasts Eye Lucky Numbers from Famous Monks Holy Water for 1/6/26 Draw

Lottery enthusiasts did not miss the chance to observe closely the 'lucky numbers' from the holy water basin of a famous monk who created the Phra Kamphaeng Sok amulet, hoping to use them as guidance for the 1 June 2026 lottery draw.

On 18 May 2026, reports stated that at Wat Sawang Arom, Khaektao, Khun Kaeo Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province, at 12:09 p.m. on 17 May, Phra Kru Yotithammanuyut also known as Luang Pho Pae, the abbot of Wat Sawang Arom, with the title a famous monk of the Nakhon Chai Si river basin, has created sacred objects: Phra Bucha Kamphaeng Sok or Phra Kanphai amulets according to ancient scriptures passed down since the Sukhothai era. The older generations have long spoken of these amulets, saying that whoever possesses one can be protected from dangers, ensuring safety from fires, malevolent acts by others, or harm during travel. Having one at home or in the car provides protection.

Renowned monks joined to perform five consecration ceremonies on Saturdays, with May having five Saturdays and five Fridays. This auspicious timing was used to conduct the Phra Kamphaeng Sok consecration on each Saturday, completing all five within the month before distributing to those who pre-ordered the amulets.

According to a reporter, the last Saturday marked the third consecration on 16 May 2026, where Chao Khun Phra Ratchasiriwatcharangsri (Luang Pho Chamnan) from Wat Chin Wararam Worawihan, Pathum Thani Province, one of the famous monks, meditated and consecrated the sacred objects.

Previously, the first consecration on Saturday, 2 May 2026, was led by Phra Ajarn Keng from Wat Tha Sao, Samut Sakhon Province, presiding alongside Luang Pho Pae. The second, on 9 May 2026, was led by Phra Samut Wachirasophon Wi or Luang Pho Itth, advisor to the Regional Ecclesiastical Office 15 and abbot of Wat Chulamanee, Samut Songkhram Province, a nationally renowned monk from the original temple of Thao Wessuwan, who presided over the meditation.

On Saturday, 23 May 2026, the fourth consecration will have Luang Pho Pae inviting Chao Khun Nern from Wat Thung Setthi, Rama 2, Bangkok, to join the ceremony. The fifth and final consecration on Saturday, 30 May 2026, will be a grand event gathering many famous monks from various temples to perform the meditation before the amulets are distributed to pre-ordering devotees.

Phra Kru Yotithammanuyut, or Luang Pho Pae, the renowned abbot, revealed that the reason for creating the Phra Kamphaeng Sok amulet was to preserve a type of amulet that is being forgotten. Nowadays, few temples produce it because the amulet—named for its large size of one sok (about 50 cm)—is made for worship. The temple has produced three limited types: Kamphaeng Sok, Kamphaeng Khuen, and Kamphaeng Nio, suitable for home worship or carrying for protection against all dangers. The consecration ceremony invited several famous monks to enhance its spiritual power. The amulets are available in silver and alloy metals. Those interested can contact Wat Sawang Arom. Proceeds from sales support public welfare and purchasing lighting equipment, including solar cells to reduce electricity costs.

The reporter also added that each consecration ceremony of the Phra Kamphaeng Sok attracts many devotees. Besides devotees, lottery hopefuls come to seek lucky numbers from the holy water basin where the monks meditate. Candles are lit beside the basin so wax droplets fall into the water. After the ceremony, many gather to photograph the basin and interpret the wax patterns into numbers, commonly 2, 4, 6, and 9, which they then use to select lottery numbers in hopes of a big win.
