Family and fans joined in changing the outfit of the country music queen "Phumphuang Duangchan" ahead of the 34th anniversary remembrance, believing that P'Phueng is always with them. The younger sibling drew a lucky number for the 1 June 2026 lottery.
On 28 May 2026 at the “Phumphuang Duangchan Thai House Museum” in Sak Ngam Subdistrict, Khlong Lan District, Kamphaeng Phet Province, the family, siblings, and fans of the country music queen “Phumphuang Duangchan,” led by Ong Salakjit Duangchan, Kai Janjuang Duangchan, Jim Duangjai Duangchan, and Mr. Naret Jitrahan, gathered to change the mannequin’s outfit ahead of the 34th anniversary of her passing on 13 June 2026.
Besides Wat Thap Kradan, in Kamphaeng Phet Province there are two mannequin locations at the family home where fans and those who still love the late famous singer Phumphuang Duangchan come regularly to pay respects and ask for blessings.
This year, the first mannequin outfit, displayed outside where Phumphuang Duangchan’s ashes are kept (previously a blue outfit), will be changed to a green two-tone sari. The second mannequin (previously in white) inside the area used for merit-making and where her outfits, shoes, belongings, and photos are kept will wear a red two-tone Indian-style outfit. Both mannequins will have new makeup, nail polish, and hairstyling, and will be sprayed with the perfume Phumphuang Duangchan used for every concert, a distinctive signature scent. Everyone present was determined to honor their beloved sister as every year, confident that she is always near them.
After changing the outfit at the first location, Ong Salakjit Duangchan drew a lottery number to share with those present, which was “27.” The second location’s outfit is Indian style, a favorite of Phumphuang Duangchan. The jewelry used are all items she treasured in life. While putting the old white outfit away, something unusual happened: a snake shed its skin there.
Ong Salakjit Duangchan, Kai Janjuang Duangchan, and Jim Duangjai Duangchan said they come every year to change the outfit for P'Phueng Phumphuang Duangchan. Having worn blue for two years, they felt their sister wanted a new color. This year’s green symbolizes wealth attraction and bright colors, marking the 34th anniversary. At Wat Thap Kradan, the event will be held from 11-19 June 2026, attracting many respected singers and actors, including Ja Nongpanee and Lam Yai Hai Thongkham, plus both famous and lesser-known artists.
