At Wat Thap Kradan, family and fans organized a ceremony to commemorate the 34th anniversary of Phumphuang Duangchan’s passing. Meanwhile, Lukphet reached into a jar to distribute "lucky numbers" to fans for the June 16, 2026 lottery draw.
On 13 Jun 2026 GMT+7, reporters described the atmosphere at Wat Thap Kradan, Village No. 2, Bo Suphan Subdistrict, Song Phi Nong District, Suphanburi Province. Since early morning, fans of Mae Phueng Phumphuang Duangchan, the Queen of Luk Thung music, arrived in large numbers to join the 34th anniversary memorial event.
The event featured Phra Athikan Prasong Kunakaro, the abbot and spiritual leader, along with Mr. Ratchakrit Phayak, the Song Phi Nong district chief; Mr. Suwat Luangwilai, the temple steward; and Mr. Jakkrit Luangwilai from the temple committee. The family was led by Mr. Kraisorn Saenganan, husband of Mr. Phakawat Sisawutrit (known as Lukphet), their son; and Oang Salakjit Janjuang Duangchan, Lukphet’s sister. Many artists, including Chulampha Phumphuang Song, Ratree Witwat, and representatives from music companies, joined together to offer alms and lunch to monks, and distributed 400 scholarships to academically outstanding but underprivileged students, as well as aid to the needy. This was dedicated to Phumphuang Duangchan and has been an annual tradition.
Additionally, near the statue of Phumphuang Duangchan at the Sala Klang Nam pavilion, Mr. Kraisorn and Lukphet reached into a jar to draw lucky numbers for fans. The numbers 5, 3, and 9 were revealed, which many said they would use to try their luck in the June 16, 2026 lottery draw, according to popular belief.
In the evening, a concert stage featured a lineup of artists performing songs. Mr. Kraisorn and Lukphet did not disclose which song they would open with but promised to perform several songs to fully satisfy the fans.
Lukphet posted a photo of Mae Phueng and himself as a child on the Facebook page “Phet Phumphuang,” with a message saying: “13 June 2026 marks the 34th anniversary of Mae Phueng Phumphuang Duangchan’s passing. I love and miss my mother every day and have never forgotten the love and warmth I received, even though the time we had together was brief. Those were my happiest moments. It has been 34 years since Mom passed away, but her fans remain as devoted as ever, and everyone still loves and misses her deeply.”
