Devotees gathered at the "Jindamani Luang Holy Water Bath Ceremony" at Dong Prik Jaew Temple in Sukhothai Province to open fortunes and enhance auspiciousness, not forgetting to check the "lucky numbers" from firecracker ends to try their luck on 1/7/26.
At 12:00 PM on 23 June 2026, reporters from Dong Prik Jaew Temple, Village 9, Tha Chai Subdistrict, Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai Province, reported that many people—including elderly, youth, and children—came to participate in the Jindamani Luang Holy Water Bath Ceremony organized by the temple.
Phra Nannaphat Kunakaro, the temple abbot, invited Phra Ajarn Soraphat Khosawachiro of Thammabanlan Temple, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, a revered monk known for fortune-enhancing rituals, especially the "Jindamani Luang Holy Water Bath Ceremony," to conduct the ritual.
Starting in the morning, participants received the teacher's bowl and began chanting to invoke deities, respected teachers, sacred entities, and the merits of past kings who protected Sukhothai land, to open directions, clear the way, and open the fortunes of those attending.
Then Phra Ajarn Soraphat led the chanting of Buddhist scriptures and the Jindamani mantra, pouring it into a bowl and vessels containing sacred holy water. Participants lined up to receive the holy water, which the monk poured from head to body while chanting to dispel evil, black magic, and all misfortune, cleansing it away with the flowing water. Afterwards, there was a hand anointing ceremony to receive wealth and enhance auspiciousness.
The Jindamani mantra is a highly revered sacred practice known for attracting kindness, popularity, and wealth. It was passed down by Luang Pu Suk of Pak Khlong Makham Thao Temple and Luang Pho Kuay Chutinatharo of Khositaram Temple, who taught disciples to chant it to call for fortune, smooth business, and success.
During the ceremony, firecrackers were lit, revealing tail numbers 48 and 125. Participants photographed these numbers on their phones to use for lottery luck in the upcoming draw on 1/7/26.
