Family Wins Lottery, Offers Thanks to Ta Thong Ngiu Rai and Seeks Lucky Numbers for Next Draw

Fortune smiles on the whole family coming to fulfill a vow. “Ta Thong Ngiu Rai.” At Wat Sawang Arom, Nakhon Pathom Province, after receiving a lottery prize worth hundreds of thousands, they did not miss taking “lucky numbers” to try their luck again in the next draw.

On 28 Jun 2026 GMT+7, it was reported that at Wat Sawang Arom, Khaekhaew Subdistrict, Nakhon Chai Si District, Nakhon Pathom Province, yesterday morning (27 Jun), Mrs. Malai Sonsantiea, 62, a farmer from Yasothon Province, brought 100 cartons of red drink loaded on a pickup truck to offer and fulfill a vow to 'Ta Thong Ngiu Rai.' Temple staff helped unload and set them up on the front yard near the entrance to the sermon hall.

She then went up to the sermon hall to light incense and candles in worship, placed flowers on a large tray in front of the statue of Ta Thong Ngiu Rai, and expressed gratitude for the chance to fulfill her vow. She briefly said thank you to Ta Thong Ngiu Rai for granting luck to herself, her family, and nearby villagers, enabling them all to win lotteries and lottery tickets totaling several hundred thousand baht.

Mrs. Malai explained the reason for fulfilling her vow this time: Before the 1 Jun 2026 lottery draw, her daughter saw a news story on Thairath Online about a young woman and her mother in a wheelchair who fulfilled a vow to Ta Thong Ngiu Rai after winning second prize twice. They donated over 20 wheelchairs to Wat Sawang Arom and also sought lucky numbers by drawing eggs from a tray, getting the number 410 clearly displayed. Her daughter showed her this news, and many family members agreed to try buying lottery tickets ending with 410 to see if they could also get lucky. Relatives found nearly 60 tickets with that number to share among themselves.

Mrs. Malai continued that everyone waited anxiously for the lottery results, and when the number 410 came up as the last three digits, the whole household cheered. Their winnings totaled no less than 500,000 baht. The family agreed to buy 100 cartons of red drink to offer to Ta Thong Ngiu Rai, but most were busy or living far away. She volunteered to bring the offering herself because she wanted to see the actual statue of Ta Thong Ngiu Rai and ask for luck once more. Upon seeing the statue, she was amazed by how lifelike it was, and noted the many people coming to pay respects and seek fortune.

Additionally, she drew three eggs from the tray, getting the number 257, and took photos to share with those who contributed offerings for the vow fulfillment. She also photographed the candle wax drops in the holy water basin, which she interpreted as the numbers 311 and 76. She said if she wins again this time, she plans to rent a bus to bring relatives to make a major merit offering to Ta Thong Ngiu Rai.
