Reporters described the atmosphere at Ruesi Nen Thad Phutthakun Hermitage in Potang Subdistrict, Bang Sai District, Pranakorn Si Ayutthaya Province, on the evening of 7 July 2026. Many people came to apply gold leaf on the index finger of Grandfather Ruesi’s statue and pay respects to Grandfather Ruesi Phrommathat, the golden child millionaire, and the nine-faced Thao Wessuwan during the nighttime for the first time, as it was the celebration period for Grandfather Ruesi Phrommathat.
Additionally, many awaited Master Ruesi Nen Thad Phutthakun to perform the ritual of marking Phra Lak with a golden face and to anoint the hands of those seeking wealth for good fortune.
Also present were performers from the Sor Ram Nam Phet Likay troupe, including Nong Ploy Luk Tha Ruea, nicknamed the heroine with sparkling eyes, Bell Engkalap, Big Engkalap, and the Nam Phet heroine. They came to pay respects and pray to Grandfather Ruesi Phrommathat and Master Ruesi Nen Thad Phutthakun for blessings according to their beliefs. Nong Ploy and Bell said they would regularly come to pay respects and seek blessings from Grandfather Ruesi Phrommathat and Master Ruesi Nen Thad Phutthakun whenever possible.
Nong Ploy brought 100 kilograms of rice and a pumpkin tray as offerings and applied gold leaf to the index finger of Grandfather Ruesi Phrommathat’s statue. Before leaving, she drew ping-pong balls with auspicious numbers in front of the statue to bring luck to fans, drawing the "lucky numbers" 7 and 4.
