Big Fig Tree Falls on Phaya Naga Bridge at Kham Chanod Island, Lottery Enthusiasts Miss Lucky Numbers

Lottery enthusiasts are excited to spot lucky numbers from a large fig tree at Kham Chanod Island, Wang Nakhin, after it fell across the Phaya Naga Bridge late at night. Hoping for fortune in the July 16, 2026 draw, they carefully look for numbers from incense sticks and holy water bowls used in the worship ceremonies.

On 11 July 2026 GMT+7, reporters from Kham Chanod Island, Wang Nakhin—the sacred land of the Phaya Naga and the spirits Grandfather Si Suttho and Grandmother Sri Pathumma in Non Muang village, Ban Muang subdistrict, Ban Dung district, Udon Thani province—reported that on the night of 9 July 2026 at about 03:30 a.m., an unexpected event occurred at this sacred place.

A large fig tree broke and fell onto the body of the Phaya Naga on the Phaya Naga Bridge, which is the main walkway crossing to the shrines of Grandfather Si Suttho and Grandmother Sri Pathumma. The damage spans nearly 4 meters. It is believed the cause was unstable weather with strong gusts or heavy rain in the area, combined with the age and weight of the ancient tree in the Kham Chanod grove, causing it to topple onto the walkway and damage the middle section of the bridge.

Those seeking luck did not miss the chance to examine the damage to the Phaya Naga’s body and noticed numbers appearing on the nearby fig tree trunk near the accident site, including 42, 24, 49, and 94. Not satisfied, after paying respects to the spirits, they also observed the holy water bowl at the ritual table and saw the candle wax tears forming numbers 73 and 37. The incense stick numbers for fortune-telling yielded the attractive numbers 450 and 054.

At the lottery vendor stalls in front of Kham Chanod Island, an elderly woman, brought by relatives to pay respects to the spirits, stopped to try her luck by buying ticket number 944—the number matching the license plate of a pickup truck involved in an accident where a child driver hit and killed a monk. However, the vendor said that number was sold out except for a set of 5 tickets, but only one set of ticket number 244 remained. The elderly woman decided to spend money to buy it, hoping for good luck so she could return to Kham Chanod again.
